Core Structural Characteristics
The structural design of the reach truck is completely optimized for narrow space and high-lifting work, with distinct industry characteristics: - Telescopic Mast Mechanism: The mast can stretch forward by 500mm to 800mm. When picking goods from the shelf, the mast extends outward; during driving and transferring, the mast retracts to the body, which effectively shortens the overall working length of the vehicle and greatly improves space utilization.
- Counterweight-Free Design: It relies on the self-weight of the body and the mechanical balance formed by the retraction of the mast to ensure driving and stacking stability, abandoning the bulky counterweight of traditional forklifts, and realizing a more compact body size.
- High-Quality Wheel Configuration: Equipped with wear-resistant polyurethane silent wheels, which are non-marking, shock-absorbing and low-noise. It is suitable for various indoor floors such as epoxy floors and cement floors, and will not damage the ground during operation.
- Dual Operation Modes: Divided into stand-on type and seated type. The stand-on type is lightweight and flexible, suitable for short-time and frequent intermittent operations; the seated type is ergonomically designed with comfortable seating, which reduces driver fatigue and is ideal for long-hour continuous warehouse work.
3. Standard Technical Parameters The mainstream parameters of commercial reach trucks are unified in the logistics industry, covering most conventional warehousing operation needs:
- Rated Load Capacity: 1.5 tons, 2.0 tons, 2.5 tons and 3.0 tons. It is worth noting that the load capacity will decrease slightly when the mast is raised to an ultra-high height to ensure operational safety.
- Minimum Working Aisle Width: 2.6m – 3.2m, which is much narrower than the 3.5m–5.0m aisle required by ordinary counterbalance forklifts, greatly saving warehouse layout space. - Maximum Lifting Height: Conventional standard height is 3m–6m, and high-level customized models can reach 8m–13m, meeting the stacking needs of high-rise heavy-duty shelves.
-Minimum Turning Radius: 1.8m – 2.5m, with flexible steering performance, realizing in-situ small-angle turning and right-angle stacking in narrow aisles. - Power System: Equipped with 24V or 48V lithium batteries as standard. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries support fast charging (1–2 hours full charge), long continuous working time (6–8 hours per charge), and have longer service life and lower attenuation.
4. Core Advantages
- High Space Utilization: The narrow-aisle adaptation and high-lifting design greatly improve the unit storage capacity of the warehouse, effectively reducing the idle space of the warehouse and saving site rental costs for enterprises.
- Stable and Safe Operation: Equipped with anti-slope sliding, overload protection, height limit protection and other safety devices. The body is stable during high-lifting operation, which effectively avoids cargo tilting and falling risks.
- Green and Low-Consumption: Pure electric drive produces no exhaust gas, with low operating noise, no pollution to the indoor environment, and meets the environmental protection standards of food, medicine, electronics and other clean workshops.
- Low Operation and Maintenance Cost: The mechanical structure is simple and durable, with fewer wearing parts. Lithium battery models have no need for frequent water replenishment and maintenance, reducing daily operation and after-sales maintenance costs.
- High Working Efficiency: The telescopic mast responds sensitively, the lifting and steering speed is uniform and stable, and it can efficiently complete pallet handling, high-level stacking and goods sorting work.
5. Application Scenarios Reach trucks are mainly applicable to all kinds of indoor standardized warehousing scenarios, and are the preferred equipment for high-density storage warehouses:
- High-rise shelf warehouses and narrow-aisle intensive storage centers - E-commerce distribution centers, logistics transit warehouses and finished product storage workshops - Clean workshops in electronics, food, pharmaceutical and precision instrument industries
- Supermarket storage centers and spare parts inventory warehouses that require space saving and high-precision operation
6. Operation & Maintenance Notes As a special indoor logistics equipment, reach trucks need standardized operation and daily maintenance: professional certified operators are required for driving; overspeed, overload and high-speed sharp turning are prohibited during operation; regular inspection of battery health, mast telescopic flexibility and wheel wear is required to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment and extend its service life.
